The present invention relates to a process for production of carotenoid from microalgae. The potential of microalgae for production of high value compounds and natural pigments have realized throughout the world and efforts are being focused on their culturing and cultivation systems. In this regard, the present invention focused on a process for growth and carotenoid accumulation in microalgae with reference to Haematococcus.
